PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated September 26, 2026

This Privacy Notice for YUK0R GmbH ("we," "us," or "our"), describes how and why we might access, collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your personal information when you use our services ("Services"), including when you:

  • Download and use our mobile application (YUK0R), or any other application of ours that links to this Privacy Notice
  • Use YUK0R Fitness. YUK0R is an AI-powered personal fitness and wellness coaching mobile app that also plans your day. Users receive personalized training plans, a daily plan built around their calendar, meal and recipe suggestions, daily check-ins, and ongoing coaching conversations adapted to their goals, lifestyle, and physiological data; if they want, the app also keeps track of what they spend and of the money goals they set. The app integrates with Apple Health to read activity, heart rate, sleep, workout, body measurement and other health metrics (listed below), which inform plan generation and progress tracking. If you choose to connect a Whoop or Oura account, the app also reads your sleep, recovery and activity data (and, from Whoop, your workouts) from that account for the same purpose. Coaching is delivered through an AI conversational interface that learns from each interaction to provide increasingly personalized guidance. YUK0R is offered as a monthly or annual subscription via the Apple App Store.
  • Engage with us in other related ways, including any marketing or events

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personal information you disclose to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

  • names
  • email addresses
  • contact or authentication data
  • contact preferences
  • dates of birth
  • gender
  • height and weight, and the weight you have in mind as a goal
  • your home location (the place you set as your home base)
  • goals and preferences (what you want out of YUK0R, what got in the way before, the sports you do and how you train, where you train, the hobbies and activities you enjoy, how much time you spend outside and what gets you out, how you eat and cook, the language and style of your coach, and which reminders you want)
  • financial information you choose to give us (your currency, the goals you are saving toward, a rough monthly amount, and the expenses you log)
  • photos, still frames of videos, and documents you share (see "Photos, Videos and Documents" below)
  • information about other people you choose to add, such as the name, role and contact details of your trainer, physiotherapist or doctor
  • user-generated content (onboarding responses, daily check-ins and check-outs, coach conversations, notes, journal entries, events and goals, to-dos, and your food and activity logs)

Sensitive Information. When necessary, with your consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, we process the following categories of sensitive information:

  • health data, for example your height, weight and weight goal, injuries or body areas to be careful with, your flexibility, food allergies, pollen allergies and other outdoor reactions (asthma, sun, insect stings and how severe they are), how you feel, how you slept and any soreness or pain you report in a check-in, the health documents you choose to add (for example a blood test or a medical report), and the data you allow us to read from Apple Health, Whoop and Oura, described below
  • biometric data
  • information that may reveal your religious beliefs, if you choose a halal or kosher diet

We use this information only to provide and improve your coaching and your plan. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising.

Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases, such as your payment instrument number, and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is handled and stored by Apple and RevenueCat. You may find their privacy notice link(s) here: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/ and https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. YUK0R does not collect, store, or have direct access to credit card information. Subscription status, purchase receipts, and renewal events are managed through RevenueCat, which receives anonymized user identifiers to associate purchases with YUK0R accounts. Users may manage or cancel subscriptions at any time through their Apple ID settings.

Waitlist and Early Access. Before YUK0R is available in the App Store, our website offers two forms: one to be notified when the app launches, and one to request early access as a tester. If you use them, we collect your email address, and any details you choose to add, through Tally, a form service based in Belgium that stores the submissions for us. We use this information only to send you the launch notification or the early access invitation and to organize the group of testers. You can ask us to remove you from either list at any time by writing to contact.yuk0r@gmail.com.

Application Data. If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

  • Geolocation Information. With your permission, and only while you are using the app, we read your device's location to show your weather and the day's outdoor window, to suggest places nearby, and to notice when you are away from home so your plan can follow you. We round it to about one kilometre before we store it, and your phone turns it into the name of your town or city using Apple's location services. You can also set a home base, either by searching for a place (the words you type are then sent from your phone to Open-Meteo's place search, see "Weather" below, which therefore also sees your device's IP address) or by using where you are now; we store the name of the place and its coordinates. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.
  • Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device's sensors, storage, camera, photo library, calendar, apple health/healthkit, location, notifications, alarms, and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.
  • Apple Health (HealthKit). If you allow it, we read the following data from Apple Health: steps, walking and running distance, active and resting energy burned, heart rate, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, VO2 max, sleep (including sleep stages), wrist temperature during sleep, blood pressure, weight and height, menstrual flow (from which we work out the day and phase of your cycle), and your workouts with their heart rate and effort score. This is health data. We store it in your YUK0R account and use it only to personalize your coaching, your plan and your readiness. We never write anything to Apple Health, and we do not sell this data or use it for advertising. You can choose which of these YUK0R may read, or turn access off, at any time in the Health app or in your device's settings.
  • Connected Wearable Accounts (Whoop, Oura). If you choose to connect your Whoop or Oura account in the app (Settings, Connections), we read your data from that account: sleep duration and sleep stages, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, breathing rate, blood oxygen, skin temperature, your recovery or readiness score, from Whoop your day strain and your workouts (which we save as logged sessions in your YUK0R account), and from Oura your daily activity (for example steps and calories burned). This is health data. We read it only with your consent, which you give on Whoop's or Oura's own authorization page; we never see or store your Whoop or Oura password. We store the access tokens that keep the connection alive, and we use the data only to personalize your own coaching and plan. We do not send any of your YUK0R data to Whoop or Oura, and we do not sell this data or use it for advertising. You can disconnect at any time in the app; this revokes our access at Whoop or Oura and deletes the stored tokens. Data we have already read stays in your account until you delete your account. Whoop's and Oura's own handling of your data is described in their privacy notices: https://privacy.whoop.com/ and https://ouraring.com/privacy-policy.
  • Device Calendar. If you allow calendar access in the app (Settings, Connections), we read the events of the calendars on your device for the current day (title, time, location and notes) to plan your day around them, and these details may be part of the information your coach works with when it suggests a next step. We only read; we do not create, change or delete anything in your calendar. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device's settings.
  • Connected Strava Account. If you choose to connect your Strava account in the app (Settings, Connections), we read your recent activities from Strava (for example runs and rides of the last 30 days): the name and type of the activity, date and time, distance, duration and the route. We save them as logged sessions in your YUK0R account so your coach and your plan can take them into account. You give your consent on Strava's own authorization page; we never see or store your Strava password. We store the access tokens that keep the connection alive. We do not write anything to your Strava account, we show your Strava data only to you, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. You can disconnect at any time in the app, which deletes the stored tokens. Strava's privacy notice: https://www.strava.com/legal/privacy.
  • Connected Google Calendar. If you choose to connect your Google account in the app (Settings, Connections), we request read-only access to your Google Calendar. We read the events of the calendars you select for the current day (title, time, location and notes) to plan your day around them, and these details may be part of the information your coach works with when it suggests a next step. We cannot create, change or delete anything in your calendar. We store the access tokens that keep the connection alive; you can disconnect at any time in the app, which deletes them, and you can also remove YUK0R's access in your Google Account settings. YUK0R's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Places Search (Google Places). When you ask for places (for example somewhere to eat nearby, a hotel or an attraction), when your coach puts together a route for you, or when your day plan suggests somewhere to eat nearby, we send the search words and, for places near you, your current or saved location to the Google Places API of the Google Maps Platform, which returns the matching places with their names, photos, reviews, ratings and opening hours. We do not send your name, email address or account details with these requests. The photos of these places are loaded by your phone directly from Google's servers, and a place or a route you open is shown in Google Maps. Google processes these requests under the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Videos (YouTube API Services). The app uses YouTube API Services to find videos, for example a tutorial for an exercise, a recipe video or a video you ask your coach for, and to look up a YouTube video you share with your coach (its title, channel, length and description). We send only the search words, or the ID of the video you shared, to YouTube; we do not send your name, email address or account details. Search results and video details may be kept by us for up to 30 days so the same search does not have to be repeated. Video thumbnails are loaded by your phone directly from YouTube's servers. When you play or open a video, YouTube (Google) processes data under its own terms. By using these video features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and the Google Privacy Policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Weather (Open-Meteo). To show your weather, the air quality and the best time of the day to be outside (and, if you do water sports, the wave and water conditions), our server sends the rounded coordinates of your location to Open-Meteo, a weather service run by OpenMeteo GmbH in Switzerland. We send only the coordinates; we do not send your name, email address or account details. When you search for your home base, the words you type are sent from your phone to Open-Meteo's place search. Open-Meteo's terms and privacy information: https://open-meteo.com/en/terms.
  • Photos, Videos and Documents. You can share photos with your coach (for example of a meal, so your coach can estimate it for your food log, of your physique, of the food in your kitchen, of a menu or of a place where you want to train, or a few still frames of a video of an exercise, so your coach can check your technique), add photos to your journal or to an activity you log (for example a screenshot from your watch), and add documents such as a blood test, a medical report, a prescription or a training plan. To understand them, we send them to our AI service provider, Anthropic (see "DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?"). A photo for a meal estimate or for an activity you log, a physique photo, the still frames for a technique check and the other photos you send for one of these coach actions are looked at once and not stored by us. Photos you send in the chat, journal photos and documents are stored privately in your YUK0R account, together with the short description or summary the AI writes of them, and are deleted with your account; you can also remove journal photos and documents yourself in the app. Documents about your health are health data.
  • Community. If you use the Community, other YUK0R users can find you by your community name (by default the name on your account) and your handle, and can send you a friend request. Once you are friends, you can invite each other to sessions: your friends see your name and handle, the sessions you plan together (the activity, the time and the place you enter) and whether you accepted, declined or suggested another time, and they may receive a notification that names you. We never show other users your email address or any other details of your account. Photos you add as a memory of a session are stored privately and shown only to you.
  • Usage Data, Crash Reports and Session Replay (PostHog). Depending on the switches you set when you first open the app, which you can change at any time in the app's settings (Account details), the app sends crash reports, the screens you open and the buttons you press, and a masked recording of your sessions (what you type and all images are hidden) to PostHog, our analytics service, which stores this data in the EU. This data is linked to your YUK0R account (your user ID and email address), so that we can fix problems you run into and understand which parts of the app help. Our server also records some events itself, for example when a session is built or logged. We do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it.
  • Mobile Device Data. We automatically collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer), operating system, version information and system configuration information, device and application identification numbers, browser type and version, hardware model Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, and Internet Protocol (IP) address (or proxy server). If you are using our application(s), we may also collect information about the phone network associated with your mobile device, your mobile device’s operating system or platform, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, and information about the features of our application(s) you accessed.
  • Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.

This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

How much information we collect depends on the type and settings of the device you use to access the Services. For example, we may use GPS and other technologies to collect geolocation data that tells us your current location (based on your IP address). You can opt out of allowing us to collect this information either by refusing access to the information or by disabling your Location setting on your device. However, if you choose to opt out, you may not be able to use certain aspects of the Services.
  • AI-generated insights and user profile data. Data generated by processing user interactions through AI models, including extracted memories from coaching conversations, personalized training plans, behavioral inferences, and progress analytics

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We only process your personal information when we believe it is necessary and we have a valid legal reason (i.e., legal basis) to do so under applicable law, like with your consent, to comply with laws, to provide you with services to enter into or fulfill our contractual obligations, to protect your rights, or to fulfill our legitimate business interests.

If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR require us to explain the valid legal bases we rely on in order to process your personal information. As such, we may rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:

  • Consent. We may process your information if you have given us permission (i.e., consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Learn more about withdrawing your consent.
  • Performance of a Contract. We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.
  • Legitimate Interests. We may process your information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to achieve our legitimate business interests and those interests do not outweigh your interests and fundamental rights and freedoms. For example, we may process your personal information for some of the purposes described in order to:
  • Send users information about special offers and discounts on our products and services
  • Diagnose problems and/or prevent fraudulent activities
  • Understand how our users use our products and services so we can improve user experience
  • Legal Obligations. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
  • Vital Interests. We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.

If you are located in Canada, this section applies to you.

We may process your information if you have given us specific permission (i.e., express consent) to use your personal information for a specific purpose, or in situations where your permission can be inferred (i.e., implied consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

In some exceptional cases, we may be legally permitted under applicable law to process your information without your consent, including, for example:

  • If collection is clearly in the interests of an individual and consent cannot be obtained in a timely way
  • For investigations and fraud detection and prevention
  • For business transactions provided certain conditions are met
  • If it is contained in a witness statement and the collection is necessary to assess, process, or settle an insurance claim
  • For identifying injured, ill, or deceased persons and communicating with next of kin
  • If we have reasonable grounds to believe an individual has been, is, or may be victim of financial abuse
  • If it is reasonable to expect collection and use with consent would compromise the availability or the accuracy of the information and the collection is reasonable for purposes related to investigating a breach of an agreement or a contravention of the laws of Canada or a province
  • If disclosure is required to comply with a subpoena, warrant, court order, or rules of the court relating to the production of records
  • If it was produced by an individual in the course of their employment, business, or profession and the collection is consistent with the purposes for which the information was produced
  • If the collection is solely for journalistic, artistic, or literary purposes
  • If the information is publicly available and is specified by the regulations
  • We may disclose de-identified information for approved research or statistics projects, subject to ethics oversight and confidentiality commitments

How We Process Your Data Using AI

All personal information processed using our AI Products is handled in line with our Privacy Notice and our agreement with third parties. This ensures high security and safeguards your personal information throughout the process, giving you peace of mind about your data's safety.

To coach you, the AI receives the messages you write and the information it needs for the task at hand, for example your profile and onboarding answers, your plan and calendar events, your check-ins, the health data described above, your notes, the people you added, and the photos and documents you share. For a few tasks, such as finding the date and the details of a public event you add (for example a race; personal events are never searched) or reviews of a restaurant, the AI may use Anthropic's web search tool; it then searches only for the event or the place, never for you.

To find and fix problems with our AI features, we keep a record of the requests we send to the AI and of the answers it gives in Langfuse, an AI monitoring service, in its EU data region. These records are linked to your user ID. They never include your photos or documents, only their type and size.

7. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

In Short: We may transfer, store, and process your information in countries other than your own.

Our servers are located in Belgium, Germany, Ireland and United States. Regardless of your location, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored by, and processed by us in our facilities and in the facilities of the third parties with whom we may share your personal information (see "WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?" above), including facilities in Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, United States, and other countries.

If you are a resident in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, then these countries may not necessarily have data protection laws or other similar laws as comprehensive as those in your country. However, we will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.

European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses:

We have implemented measures to protect your personal information, including by using the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information between our group companies and between us and our third-party providers. These clauses require all recipients to protect all personal information that they process originating from the EEA or UK in accordance with European data protection laws and regulations. Our Standard Contractual Clauses can be provided upon request. We have implemented similar appropriate safeguards with our third-party service providers and partners and further details can be provided upon request.

8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

When you delete your account in the app (Settings, Account details), it is scheduled for deletion. For 30 days you can still restore it by signing in again; after those 30 days your account and the information in it are permanently deleted.

Email addresses collected through the waitlist and early access forms are deleted once the launch notification or the invitation has been sent and the testing period has ended, unless you have created a YUK0R account in the meantime.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

9. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

10. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under age 18 or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction, please contact us at contact.yuk0r@gmail.com.

11. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

In Short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.

In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) if applicable, to data portability; and (v) not to be subject to automated decision-making. If a decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means, we will inform you, explain the main factors, and offer a simple way to request human review. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below.

We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

If you are located in the EEA or UK and you believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your Member State data protection authority (https://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/bodies/authorities/index_en.htm) or UK data protection authority (https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/data-protection-complaints/data-protection-complaints/).

If you are located in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (https://www.edoeb.admin.ch/edoeb/en/home.html).

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by using the contact details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below or updating your preferences.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.

Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

  • Log in to your account settings and update your user account.

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. When you delete your account in the app, it is permanently deleted after 30 days, and until then you can restore it by signing in again. However, we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, enforce our legal terms and/or comply with applicable legal requirements.

Cookies and similar technologies: Most Web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove cookies and to reject cookies. If you choose to remove cookies or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services of our Services. For further information, please see section 5, "DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?" above.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at contact.yuk0r@gmail.com.

12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
